AVI to Any Lite App Reviews
Doesn’t work
I downloaded and it just won’t work… says can’t find file even though I added the file from the add file button.

Does What I Need It To Do
I just needed it to convert AVI to something Quicktime could open. It appears to do that just fine.
I tried two other video converters before this one. They were .avi files I had been sent and they wouldn’t open on my computer, nor with the other two programs I tried. This one was easy to use, I picked a apple tv setting and not only was the conversion done quickly, it opened right up! Thanks Geranium Software!
My cheap home security camera system outputs AVI’s in an old format that none of my computers would reconize. This program was able to read it and convert it to a MOV that plays fine on everything. One thing to be aware of is that the stautus bar it shows when converting doesn’t really work. It says “calculating” with zero progress and then suddenly it’s done at 100% progress. Also it took about 10-15 minutes to convert a five minute clip. I was starting to think that the program was hung up on the calculating screen, but it wasn’t… that’s apperantly just what it does when it’s actually doing the conversion.

this program does not work well with my game cameras it stated the it was unplayable!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great basic video conversion tool!
Was super easy to transfer footage into program and convert. First time using anything like this and it was stellar.

Just wanted something simple to convert AVI files from Windows to mp4's to use in FCPX. Seems to work fine.
Great for AVI files
After upgrading to Mojave I lost the ability to open AVIs without converting them first in Quicktime. Now with Catalina, I lost the option of converting them in Quicktime. AVI to Any Lite does a great job of converting AVIs quickly into a PRORES file I can use in Premiere Pro.

You can take an hour nap and a small file may not be done when you wake up. do not try

Agree with Andre702. One can choose 1080p, 720p as well as WHERE the converted file (several locations are offered depending on whether the player is in iPhone 4, 4S, or 5, or iPad) and each choice can also be sent to iTunes. My conversion of the original .avi file (5 MB) played in QuickTime very well, but the fidelity of color and line was not as sharp as the original file, played on a Windows device elsewhere. Also, for some reason, the file size increased to 50 MB, with no apparent benefit. The result is quite usable for study or presentation.
